Why Butyl Tape is essential in PEB, Metal Buildings?

Design and Manufacturing of the tape

Butyl sealant tapes for roofing also known as Double sided butyl tapes, Mastic Sealing Tape, Butyl Putty Tape, Waterproof sealing tape, Lap sealant tape, Z purlin/Ridge Cap/ Gutter sealing tape, Butyl Cord/Rope sealant Tape as the name denotes is manufactured from Virgin Butyl Rubber, Plasticizers, Extending Fillers and will not cure over time.

Why Butyl Rubber is Chosen rather than EPDM, Silicone or Natural rubber for this Tapes?

Butyl is high permeable material with a natural cold flow and tackiness to the surface. It will get stick or adhere to the surface like metal, galvalume, concrete and seal the improper surface, even the minor perforations or protrusions will be filled by the rubber when it is mixed properly and applied. Even after applying and leaving it for a period of time it flows and fills the gaps thus sealing even air, water and dust to cross the sealed area, whereas in the other hand EPDM, Silicone or Natural is not comparatively permeable and lacks natural tack. This Butyl Roofing tapes will withstand -10 degree Celsius to 95 degree Celsius and does not integrate on weathering.

Design

We have all regular proven sizes available with us from width: 4(1/8 inch)mm to 150mm(6 inch), Thickness-1mm to 10mm which are common, any specific or custom sizes or properties required we have a team of designers who can custom manufacture the die and formulate the compound accordingly. Common colors available are Black and Grey. Rope sealants, Cut pieces for screws to the plates, length ranging from 1 meter to 30 meter rolls are made. Packages are designed to keep the shape of the piece intact and avoid sticking. All boxes are sealed and wrapped for a longer shelf life.

 

Manufacturing

Each Raw material is sourced from prominent companies with all supplier selection procedures and audits; each raw materials are tested internally and periodically checked in third party labs for cross verification and used. Separate mixing areas have been dedicatedly provided in our premises under own quality, production personnel and no third party involved. A batch no is created for each mix and end to end traceability is kept. Final product is checked for adhesion, peel, elongation, adhesive tensile strength, density, dimensions etc.
